Shenzhen Children’s Park Guide: An Urban Oasis for Family Fun

Shenzhen Children’s Park, situated west of Nonglin Road in Futian District, covers an area of 182,000 square meters. As the largest non-profit children’s themed park in Shenzhen, it has been welcoming families with the concept of “Children’s Green Paradise” since its opening in August 2011. The park is open daily from 6:00 to 23:00, free of admission, with only a few mechanical rides charging a small fee.

Rides cater to children of all ages, including 7 mechanical attractions like Double-decker Carousel and Self-controlled Planes, plus the free “Traffic City” for toddlers. The Dream Plaza features interactive facilities such as the Little Red Riding Hood Slide, musical rocking horses, and rainbow obstacle courses, promoting physical coordination. The hidden gem “Kaleidoscope Book House” has over 1,500 age-classified picture books and hosts parent-child reading activities on weekends (open Tue-Sun).

Boasting 140,000 square meters of green space with over 100 plant species (most labeled), the Park combines fun with nature education. Convenient services include free wheelchairs, strollers, and first-aid kits at the visitor center, along with mother-and-baby rooms and barrier-free access. It’s a 7-minute walk from Nonglin Metro Station Exit D1, and hosts colorful events on holidays, making it a perfect family destination.
